Welcome to the Fort Washington Swim Team (FWST) website. We are a private community-based
organization and our mission is to build children's aquatic skills, teamwork,
principles of good sportsmanship and love of the sport. We've been a proud
member of the Prince-Mont Swim League since 1972. The Sharks have established a
tradition of doing their best. Our Sharks are a fun loving
bunch and enjoy many social events beyond competing in swim meets. Check out our calendar page. Additionally, our Guppy
program teaches the youngest of children the skills needed to become racing
members of the team.

Its the
start of swim season 2012, so welcome to another great summer with the Fort Washington Sharks! Team Registration will be Saturday, May 26, 2012
from 4 – 7 pm along with our annual cook out. We will be having hot dogs,
hamburgers, chips, fruit and drinks for a small fee. Please remember you MUST
be a pool member in good standing in order to join the swim team and practice
with them. If you cannot make it to that registration, you may register during
any of the practices which will start in the evening on Tuesday May 29, 2012.
Evening practices will continue until P.G. public schools are done for the
summer. Time trials will be Saturday, June 9, 2012 more information will be
available once we have it.
Also on June 9th is the training for Stroke and
Turn Judges, please consider volunteering for this important job and taking the
training. As always we are looking for volunteers to help at the various meets
and to run our different social events. Remember the $50 volunteer fee is
refundable if we have your help for at least 3 meets AND 1 social event.
Families are also required to donate a designated item for our snack bar. A
sign-up sheet will be available during registration or in the meeting room
during practices. The team will be ordering new team swim suits this year, team
members are expected to wear the team suit during meets. We are also getting
new team T-shirts which will be available for purchase if desired. This year we
are looking at a couple of different ideas for fund raising.

visitors.
Our flowers are the swim
team's way of supporting our wonderful pool and making it nice for everyone.
Drought and deer resistant flowers do best.
